The rental company's damage waiver normally covers accidental damage as long as the renter complies with the rental contract, approved drivers etc. The waiver may also cover theft, vandalism, and loss of use. The Hirer sometimes has a choice between waiving all or part of the damage, for different amounts. If damage is not waived, and a rented car is stolen, or damaged by accident, vandalism, weather, etc., then the Hirer would be liable for the full cost, plus administrative charges and loss of use.

Please note that you will need to show a valid drivers license and your passport. You will also need a credit or debit card.

You will normally need to return the vehicle with a full tank of petrol/diesel. Failure to do this will probably result in a large penalty. As you may be short of time or find it difficult to find a garage en route and open, it is easier to remember to fill the car up on the day before it is due to be returned. The alternative is that some companies allow you to pre-pay for them to re-fill the tank. Either way it is best to plan ahead!

One way rentals are generally available although there is normally a higher fee involved than there would be if you were returning the car to the same location.
