As a sixty something I thoroughly enjoyed my days here at Maison du Tilleul Argente.Have no hesitation in recommending the warm welcome,quality food served in generous portions not to mention the comfortable beds withe their sparkling clean ensuites.Particularly liked the combination of old world character allied with modern comforts.Great value.Merci.

A picturesque drive from La Rochelle to get here and from the moment of arrival we felt at home. A warm welcome, great coffee, excellent food, and charming decor.
I have to mention that the beds were wonderful; guaranteed to give a good night's sleep.
If you want a relaxing break with all the comforts of home but more sunshine, then this is the place to come. We can't wait to go back.

Travelling to the far SW corner of France from the St.Malo ferryport this looked like a sensible point to enjoy a break - conveniently close to the N10 yet just far enough off it to be 'non-touristy' and rurally quiet? So it proved; an unspoiled, typically Charentais village (bar/restuarant and boulangerie is about all) with the 'Maison' easy to find, right in the centre - parking at the front door too!
A truly restful night with good old-fashioned hospitality - and the sort of breakfast that sets one up for the day (and that's important to me!)
We'll be back for sure; hopefully for a few days next time with a bit of exploring and trying the local walks...

We have stayed a few time at this charming chambres d'hotes in Courcome. Each time the welcome has been warm, the beds comfortable and the showers in the bathrooms divine. Thats before I get to the breakfast - french, but fresh bread / croissants from the bakery and home made preserves and lashings of fresh coffee. Just what you want in the morning before setting off to investigate the local area.

This is a delightful, friendly and welcoming home. We stayed three days and were given good local directions for our days out.
We had a gorgeous room with all the facilities. Clearly a lady of taste that wanted to do it right. She has got it right too, clean and quiet with excellent service.
