Chez Touvenot
Chez Touvenot lies mid-way between the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Royan and the historic city of Bordeaux. It is approximately five minutes drive from the main A10 Autoroute, junction 37 turnoff. The house is a recently restored 18th Century winery that lies in the heart of the French vine-growing region of the Charente Maritime. It is a private gite with its own solar heated swimming pool set within a beautiful surrounding area. This gite is large, cool in the summer, with all modern conveniences. Its bedrooms and bathrooms are particularly spacious, making for a very comfortable and relaxing holiday. It is a perfect holiday base for families with children or without. It provides either a haven for those who wish to chill out by the pool, visiting the beautiful unspoilt beaches and dining in some of France’s finest restaurants. Alternatively a myriad of activities can be found just a short distance away. From the Cognac houses and vineyards to the historic towns of Pons, Saintes and Bordeaux. Absolutely loved it...

never having visited this region in France before, it was an absolute treat to have such a lovely place to stay. Each day we toured the area, seeing different wineries and little towns and did a day trip to both La Rochelle and Bordeaux which were both so close and really easy to get to.
Will definitely be returning and sending friends here to stay.

We took your advice & went to Oradour Sur Glane which gave us all food for thought! Had a final swim today & a lovely meal out in Jonzac-all happy & sorry to be leaving.
